Participating Orchestras

The following highly acclaimed orchestras have been contacted to take part in this ground-breaking global event.

russia – mariinsky theatre – Valery Gergiev
european union - finland – lahti symphony orchestra - Okko Kamu
asia – suwon philharmonic – Daejin Kim
united states – dallas symphony orchestra  – Jaap van Zweden
south america – orquestra sinfonica nacional (mexico) – Carlos M. Prieto

Each year, the Performing and Host Cities in each region/continent may change. For example, in Europe we could have the London Philharmonic Orchestra one year, and the Berliner Philharmoniker or Czech Philharmonic the next. In the United States, the NY Philharmonic (New York) is willing to be part of the festival before the LA Philharmonic (Los Angeles) or the Chicago Symphony.

Latin America and Asia are also fast emerging regions in classical music culture. For the moment, we would work in Asia with the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra and the Beijing Symphony Orchestra. Similarly, in Latin America we would work with the Simon Bolivar Orchestra or the Orquestra Sinfonica do Estado de São Paulo.

At a later stage, we also expect to bring Australia on board with the project.

Suggested Host Cities that have already expressed an interest in participating in the festival are currently Muscat, Brussels, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Tai Pei.
